Kear Developing Young Workforce
At KEAR Campus we aim to provide opportunities for our young people to develop the skills and qualities required for the world of work after they leave school. Our Developing the Young Workforce (DYW) programme begins at BGE level (S1-S3). Throughout timetabled classes, students learn the vital skills needed to complete a variety of jobs successfully. This continues through the Senior Phase (S4-S6) when students are offered the opportunity to complete a range of college programmes and work experience placements in areas which interest them the most.
We support our students to acquire the skills they require to pursue personalised careers through meetings with our Skills Development Scotland (SDS) colleague. We work with our young people throughout their KEAR experience to ensure they find positive destinations post Kear.
