Home Economics

In Home Economics we learn about nutrition, food product development, food preparation techniques and cookery processes, cake decorating and contemporary food issues. We also delve into the world of fashion and textiles which includes learning how to use a sewing machine. Home Economics is all about creativity and ensuring our young people learn the skills to become confident and resilient learners.

Health and Food Technology

 Throughout Kear school and in the bases, several different National Qualifications are offered within Home Economics such as; 

BGE level National 3, 4 and 5 Level
(Higher Level of some can also be offered if required)
